Real adventure...   but worth taking

Me and my son left from Finland already on Wednesday evening by 21:30 boat, towards Tallinn. After sleeping the night on boat we took a bus towards Riga. Bit over 4 hours sitting in the bus, and we found ourselves in sunny Riga , with several hours to kill. During that we almost got an overdose of fresh air

Right outside the Riga bus station we found a kiosk selling pancakes, what a delicious meal to have before entering the next bus!  Another bit over 4 hours in bus, to reach Kaunas bit before midnight. Out of bus, some sitting on a bench outside of Kaunas bus station, wondering where is the next bus. For some reason it was bit delayed but fortunately did arrive anyway. 8 hours sleeping in the bus, and we were already in Warsaw, Poland! Still 3 hours by train to go, to reach a city called Poznan where Polish Open 2010 was arranged.

Walking around in the train station, wondering why some of the ticket selling kiosks were still closed...  and finally realized that i should turn my clock one hour backwards to get the local time! Got train tickets to the train i wanted to, jumped into a train, and obiously it was the right one because after few hours we were finally in Poznan!  Couple of kilometers walk in hot sunny Poznan, to end up to a nice hotel. Another couple of kilometers walk bit later in the afternoon, and we were at the venue, nicely in time for ladies' pairs

On our way back we left Poznan on Monday afternoon, to catch the bus leaving from Warsaw at 21:00 on Monday evening. This time we were sitting/sleeping in the same bus for 13 hours, then had one hour for stretching our legs a bit in Riga, and to have again some delicious pancakes, and then 4 more hours in another bus to get to Tallinn and catch a boat to Helsinki. Our boat arrived in Helsinki at 20:30 on Tuesday evening. After bit shorter bus ride we had already had our evening meal at home before midnight

The price for bus tickets Tallinn->Riga->Kaunas->Warsaw was 32,70 €. And on the way back, using another bus company, the ticket price for the whole trip was even less, only 23 €! Train Warsaw-Poznan ~10 €!

Was i supposed to write something about the darts too? I suppose so...

I played the Ladies' Pairs with Jane Shearing, from England. After several exiting games, and a really long evening, WE WON THE LADIES' PAIRS!

In singles i reached the last 16 on both Saturday and Sunday.
